About Tyler House
Built in 1898, Tyler was the last of six dormitories constructed in Smith's very early years. The house showcases impressive Queen Anne–style brick architecture with a prominent front porch and is located on Green Street near the music building, gym, and athletic fields, with the Paradise Pond waterfall audible from open windows.
Notable residents

History & namesake
- Named for trustee William Seymour Tyler and designed by William C. Brocklesby; completed for fall 1898 at a cost of $31,494 to build and $6,544 to furnish. (Smithipedia — Tyler House)
