About Parsons House
The land was purchased from Native Americans by Cornet Joseph Parsons in 1645 before Northampton's first settlement. Miss Bessie Capen built "Faunce House" on the site in the early 1900s; Smith acquired the property in 1921. Parsons offers a quieter residential environment while remaining 10–15 minutes from campus and downtown.
